Geraardsbergen (Grammont), St. Bartholomew;s church, September 2009, a photo and video post

This, the last post in this little Geraardsbergen series, was going to be of photos of the inside of St. Bartholomew's church in the center of Geraardsbergen (Grammont). As usual though, my little camera did not get on too well with the insides of a church (I am starting to think that it is an atheist) and the photos are not that brilliant, they certainly do not show how beautiful the inside of this little church is. So I have added a short video clip at the end of the post.

Thanks Emm but the inside of that church is a lot more impressive than my poor photos showed. I think that it may be time to look for a new camera.

:o) I must say, when my friend was over here last week, he gave me lots of tips for adjusting the lighting on my own photos. For the first time ever I was able to photograph dimly lit scenes using natural light!

I could do with some of that advice Emm :)

There is this fantastic site that has free advice: http://digital-photography-school.com/.

I was playing with my EV count and by making it -1 or -2, I was able to take photos in low light.

Thanks for the tip off Emm. The sight looks very useful, I will have to explore it properly, when time allows.

A tip Guzzisue gave me BBE, assuming your camera is digital, is to point the lens at a dark area , press the shutter in half way and then point at the object you want to photograph. It takes some practise but slowly my own shots are improving.

Thanks Ted I will try that.
