An inexperienced guy, with a cheapo camcorder and a basic digital camera shows you moving happy snaps and photographs of his wanderings. Hopefully learning and improving as he goes.

Dolle Dagen Ieper part 2 The Shell Hole stand
This is an example of one of the shop stands at the Dolle Dagen, it is from The Shell Hole book shop, which is owned by Patrick, a friend of mine. As you can see he sells other things apart from books, such as Trench Art and vintage post cards, his books are exclusively related to the Great War (World War 1).
There are many professional and talented amateur video makers and photographers in the world producing good quality footage and photos , I ain't one of them. This blog/vlog is here to post photographs, video clips and snippets as they happen, complete with background noises, be they anything from birds tweeting to workmen with jackhammers and that annoying guy who just will not get out of the shot that you want to take. When I started this blog I had a cheap camcorder and a happy snapper, digital camera and very little skill in using them. Hopefully my equipment and skills will improve as the blog/vlog develops but I will always show things how they happen at the time, with all the glitches and hitches.
This is a tourist's eye view, as it happens.

I purchased a cheap as chips camcorder, to take to barbecues and record embarrassing moments but found myself enjoying making clips of the places that I visit. I thought that I would share these clips and some photos with the world via YouTube and my blog. Don't expect high quality camera work, I am just an amateur with a cheap camcorder and a happy snapper camera learning as I go. By the way BBE stands for Belgian Based Englishman.
Enjoy my video snapshots

This is so interesting Where did he get so many things from WW1?
The bicycle singer is nice as well.
Hi Lady, thanks for being the first person to comment on this blog :)
Most of his stock comes from other militaria dealers or from collectors who are selling on parts of their collections to buy something else.
The bicycle singer did add a little atmosphere to the event. He was very friendly too, stopping to chat with people between songs.
