The badge on the van's radiator grille is certainly similar to the car's. Is it me, or does the car look like a Morris Minor, especially in the top photo.

Oh lovely - this is the third classic car post I have seen recently (one in America and one in Germany too) and I am loving them! Summer is obviously the season for old cars! I'm really getting a taste for these old beauties.

I'm going by the badge as well. I should have taken a closer look but there was so much going on that day, it was hard to stay focused for very long.

The Morris Minor type nose shape seems to be typical of many of the small cars of the early 1950s but I think that the Renault was smaller than a Morris Minor. It really was a tiny car, about the same length as a Mini.

Hi Emm, These old cars are great to see and their owners take so much time restoring them and keeping them in running order. It's good that there are so many shows where they can be seen.

I agree - it is so good that people are keeping that piece of history alive.

I'll try to get some more historical material for the blog over the summer Emm.

You made my day with that Lambretta and Renault.
BTW...great shots.

The Lambretta was one from the early 1950s (I think) and was in absolute mint condition, the owner would be right to be proud of it.

Yes that Renault sure looked like the morris minor...but if you look at cars today, there is a similar tendency of cars looking alike for example a Hyundai or Honda or some similar thing look like a BMW..so we shouldn'd be surprised.

Still I love that Lambretta the Best

I think the similarities of vehicles at any period of time reflects available technology and building techniques Baron.
